Terms and Conditions for Masters League

1. Introduction

Welcome to Masters League, a six-a-side football league specifically designed for players aged over 35, with the option to include one player under the age of 35 per team. By participating in the Masters League, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirement: All team members must be aged 35 or above, with the exception of one player under 35 per team.

2.2 Proof of Age: Masters League reserves the right to request proof of age for all players. False information may result in disqualification.

3. Registration and Fees

3.1 Team Registration: Teams must register by the deadline indicated on the Masters League website or as communicated by league representatives.

3.2 Fees: Registration fees and any applicable match fees must be paid in full before participating. Failure to do so may result in suspension or removal from the league.

3.3 Refund Policy: Refunds will only be issued under extenuating circumstances at the discretion of Masters League.

4. Player Conduct and Fair Play

4.1 Code of Conduct: Players are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, respect, and integrity both on and off the field. Abuse, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

4.2 Match Rules: Players must adhere to the league’s official rules, which will be provided to all registered teams. Referees’ decisions are final.

4.3 Injuries and Liability: Players participate at their own risk. Masters League is not liable for injuries sustained during matches or practices. All players are encouraged to have appropriate insurance.

5. Team Composition and Substitutions

5.1 Team Structure: Each team must consist of six players on the field at a time, with the option of four substitutes per team. Only one player under the age of 35 per team

5.2 Substitution Rules: Substitutions are allowed as per the league's official guidelines and must occur in a manner that respects fair play. These are rolling substitutes and substitutions must be made where the player entering and exiting the pitch occurs at the same place.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 Weather and Unforeseen Events: Masters League reserves the right to cancel or reschedule matches due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Teams will be notified as soon as possible.

6.2 Team Cancellations: If a team cannot attend a scheduled match, they are still liable for the price of the pitch and referee (£35). The league have paid for the pitches and referees in advance and this cost has to be passed on to the teams that participate in the league.

7. Privacy Policy

7.1 Personal Data: By registering, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as per our Privacy Policy, which includes contact details for communication about the league.

8. Amendments to Terms

Masters League reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Teams will be notified of any significant changes, and continued participation will be deemed as acceptance of the revised terms.

Where is the league taking place?

The league is taking place at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys pitches by the Sports Centre on St John's Road.

What time are the games?

There are two kickoffs - 2100 and 2130. Players are encouraged to visit a pub after the game for a lemonade.

How much are the games?

Games cost £35/team for half an hour of football. This includes a referee, league tables and a trophy for the winner.

How many teams are there?

We have room for 4 teams in our inaugural league. One space is taken, so 3 teams of 6 players with 4 substitutes.

What are the rules?

You are allowed ONE player under 35 per team. Any team found in breach of this rule may be expelled from the league (there are PLENTY of other leagues you can play in). Please respect this. Any team can ask the age of others on the opposing team as can the referee. Don't be a dick. Just enjoy football.
